Vintage metal unusual steamer storage trunk box

This is a fabulous and rather interesting old metal steamer trunk.  Has the name T Mason sign written on to the top, it also has all the wear and patina you would expect from a truly vintage item.

This trunk differs from other trunks as the latches used on this are highly decorative and robust.

it would suit a contemporary or period setting as a decorative display piece, or could be used as an attractive retro storage chest: for bedding, toys, shoes, magazines, books etc., or used as a cool and stylish ‘shabby-chic’ coffee table.

the interior is totally original, having space to fit cloth strain relief straps.

obviously being an old used trunk there are scratches and dents but this all adds to the rustic appeal.
